The Challenge
Access to mental health support remains out of reach for too many residents, and the opportunities to provide community-based care and services have too often been gatekept — closed off to the local leaders and business owners best positioned to serve their own neighborhoods.
Michael's Approach
Michael will work to expand access to mental health resources so residents and families can get the support they need close to home.
The Evans administration will seek to support community-based facilities and create opportunities for local community leaders and business owners to participate.
The campaign proposes addressing historically gatekept opportunities and promoting fairness in county-related business and service opportunities.
Michael will prioritize empowering residents to care for their own neighborhoods and families with dignity and respect.
