The Challenge
Residents are asked to trust county government with significant public resources, yet too often they are left without a clear view of how decisions are made or where their dollars go. When oversight is weak, waste and inefficiency follow — and the people who pay for government are the last to know.
Michael's Approach
Michael will work to run Wayne County government with the same fiduciary discipline a responsible business owner brings to the books — every dollar accounted for, every decision defensible.
The Evans administration will seek to strengthen oversight, tighten internal controls, and make county financial information easier for residents to find and understand.
The campaign proposes a renewed focus on efficiency: reviewing operations to reduce waste, eliminate duplication, and direct resources toward services residents actually use.
Michael will prioritize plain-language reporting so accountability is something residents can see, not just something officials promise.
